Terms for Travel eSIMs

1. Who we are

These terms are between you and Telle Calls Ltd ("we", "us"), registered in England and Wales. Contact us at the help email shown on this site. You must be 18 or over to buy.

2. What you are buying

A data-only eSIM: a digital SIM profile, delivered as a QR code and a code to type in, giving mobile data for the plan, days and countries shown when you bought it. It does not include a phone number, calls or texts unless the plan says so, and it cannot be used to call the emergency services: do not rely on it for emergencies. Service is provided over partner mobile networks. Coverage, speed and the networks used depend on those networks and on where you are, and are not guaranteed. Networks may manage traffic at busy times.

3. Unlimited plans

"Unlimited" plans give full-speed data up to the daily amount shown, then reduced speed (shown on the plan) for the rest of that day; full speed returns the next day. You may share data from your phone to your own devices or people travelling with you. You must not get round the daily amount, for example by buying several eSIMs to use at the same time.

4. Before you buy: your phone

You must check, before buying, that your phone supports eSIM and is not locked to a network. An eSIM that cannot be used because the phone is incompatible, locked, or set up wrongly is not a fault with the eSIM. An eSIM cannot be moved to another phone or sent again if your phone is lost, stolen, replaced or reset; you are responsible for its use until you tell us.

5. Delivery

We email your eSIM to the address you give, normally within minutes of payment, and it is shown on your order page. Please check your email address is correct: an eSIM sent to the address you gave counts as delivered. If we cannot supply your eSIM at all, we refund you in full automatically.

6. Your right to cancel

When you buy, you ask us to supply your eSIM straight away and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right to cancel once it has been supplied. Supply starts when we send you the eSIM. After that you cannot cancel or get your money back because you changed your mind, changed your travel plans, or did not use it. If the law treats your plan as a service rather than digital content and you cancel within 14 days, you will pay for the service provided up to the time you tell us, which for an eSIM already installed or used is normally its full price.

7. If something goes wrong

If your eSIM does not work, contact us as soon as the problem happens, during your trip, and help us find the cause (for example by checking settings and sending screenshots). Problems first reported after the plan has ended or the trip is over may not be able to be investigated. If the fault is ours or our network's and we cannot fix it within 3 days of your report, we will replace the plan or refund the unused part of it. This is in addition to your other rights under the law.

8. Refunds

Apart from paragraphs 5 and 7 and your legal rights, we do not give refunds, including for: change of mind; plans not needed or not used; unused data or days; an eSIM installed, deleted, or installed on the wrong phone; an incompatible or locked phone; reduced speed under an unlimited plan; or a plan that has expired. Any fees your bank charges, for example for currency conversion, are yours. Where a refund is due we may offer a replacement plan instead, but you can ask for the money.

9. Using the eSIM

Install it once, on Wi-Fi, and keep the QR code safe: a code that has been used cannot be used again. Turn on data roaming for the eSIM. The plan's days start as shown on the plan: for most plans, when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination; for some, when it is installed. It must be installed and used within 180 days of purchase (or the period shown on the plan), after which it expires unused. Unused data or days expire at the end of the plan and are not carried over or refunded. Our records, and our network partners' records, of when a plan started and how much data was used are what we use to settle any question; the counter on your phone may differ.

10. Travel use only

Our eSIMs are for travellers, for normal use on a smartphone or tablet. They must not be used in routers, dongles, mobile Wi-Fi or hotspot devices, IoT or other non-phone equipment; for use in one country for more than 90 days in total, or as a replacement for a local mobile service; or for automated, continuous background or unusually heavy traffic.

11. Fair and lawful use

You must not use the eSIM for anything unlawful, for spam, fraud, attacks on networks, or in any way that harms the networks or other users, and you must not resell it. If you buy for someone else, you are responsible for them following these terms. We cannot supply anyone, or for use in any country, subject to sanctions or export restrictions. We may check orders for fraud, cancel and refund an order we reasonably believe is fraudulent, and ask for proof of identity where a network or the law requires it.

12. Suspension

If an eSIM is used for fraud or seriously against paragraphs 10 or 11, or a network, our supplier or an authority tells us to, the service may be limited, suspended or ended, without notice where needed, and without a refund. In any other case where we have to end a plan, for example because a network withdraws it, we will replace it or refund the unused part, and tell you why.

13. Problems and disputes

If something is wrong, contact us first at the help email: most problems are fixed quickly. Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. If a chargeback is raised for an eSIM that was delivered, we may contest it using the record of your order, your agreement to these terms and your acknowledgement in paragraph 6.

14. Our liability

We are not liable for losses caused by networks or events outside our reasonable control, for business losses, or for losses that were not foreseeable. Our total liability for any eSIM is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights.

15. Your information

We use your name and email to supply your eSIM and contact you about it, and keep the record of your order as the law requires. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. See our privacy notice for more.

16. Changes and law

We may update these terms for future purchases. The version you agreed to applies to your purchase, and changes never take away anything from a plan you have already bought. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring a claim in your local courts.

17. Promo codes

A promo code must be entered before you pay; it cannot be added to an order afterwards. A code has no cash value, cannot be exchanged or combined with another code, and only one can be used per order. A code may have an end date or a limited number of uses, and may be for certain customers or plans only; it cannot be used once it has ended or been used up. We may withdraw a code at any time, but this never affects an order already paid. We may cancel and refund an order that used a code obtained or used unfairly, for example by misuse, by mistake in how it was published, or against its conditions. Any refund is of the amount you actually paid.
